Welcome to the SPIRIT Homepage

The goal of this informal, interactive meeting was to bring faculty and students together with MIS professionals in the area to explore the latest technical and organizational developments related to information technology.

Key topics that were addressed are data mining, data warehousing, collaborative systems, electronic commerce,  business intelligence, security issues, knowledge management, enterprise resource management, and telecommunications. The meeting included presentations by leading academic experts as well as industry leaders, and also panel sessions that focused on the future of the IS profession.

Students and faculty benefited from hearing about the latest research as well as industry issues needing further research. At the same time, industry participants learned about the recent advances and the leading edge thinking about technology issues.
